Set full "routes" through the security, so assign the ID stands to a bag scanner and the bag scanner to a body scanner/metal detector. By doing this, you can have fewer queues which helps balance things out To do this you need the stands to be closer to the queue, but that's fine because you can just assign the stands to the bag scanners (see #2). There are a couple of things you can do that I've foundĪssign more ID stands to one queue. I'd just like the pax to pick their belongings from the top of the bag scanners and continue to the escalators at right. However, that did not help with the issue. I even just changed the bag scanners to be at the left side of their assigned body scanners, as the pax always wanted to put their bag on the scanner from the right side. What could be causing that? Can't the pax see that they should pick some other route? I once had to force a plane out of my airport when one of the three pilots of that plane got stuck in a jam like that!! If a person misses their plane while their bag is in the scanner, will they pick it up with them when they leave frustrated, or will they leave their bag there to hinder everybody else? Now, as you see in the screenshot, a couple of the security points are badly congested. All of the six remote bag scanners are handled by the same remote station. The bottom queue is pointing at the three rightmost security checks. There are two queues: the top one, shorter one, is pointing at the three leftmost security checks. I have this security area with six remote bag scanners, six id stands and six body scanners.
